This is an individual greetings card depicting the statue of a monk – original watercolour painting by Duffy Tomei

This statue is situated at Michelham Priory in Sussex erected in memory of Molly K Pears, a friend and guide at Michelham.  The inscription reads ‘We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind’.  These words are from Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood by William Wordsworth.  I took from it a line for the title of this painting, ‘Nature’s Priest’
