Jive jumping leapt into the ‘Colour in Motion’ exhibition at the last minute. This series of paintings was put on hold when the Coronavirus pandemic engulfed the country. Uncertainty prevailed and there was no way of knowing when we would ever be able to see art exhibitions again. When restrictions were lifted, I was caught on the hop as venues contacted me with invitations to exhibit. Excited to be able to return to some kind of normality, the situation gave very little time to gather together work. Relieved to have the chance to see paintings hung again though there was only one thing to do, get on with the show. With only a few weeks to finish the collection, I had to get my dancing shoes on. As the deadline approached, I swung into action; it was no surprise at all when the jive threw itself at me in a final burst of energy.
