A simple wheatfield that I spied on a visit to Holbrook one sunny day. I snapped a photo and put it into the box of stimulus references. This image was always going to be a oil and palette knife painting and I enjoyed using a free movement to create a sense of the wheat in the foreground. There were no birds in the sky the day I visited the field but I felt there should be so included a flock swarming overhead. The painting has been float mounted on a white frame.
