This painting is from a photo taken on one of my many jaunts locally to find interesting stimulus to paint. There is always a beautiful image to capture along the coast – the problem is choosing which one! I decided upon this autumn view because it depicts a typical view out of season, when the beaches are empty, and the air is crisp and clear except for the gulls sweeping through the sky.
The painting is fairly small being 15″ x 11″ unframed and is a watercolour.
