The title of this painting was inspired by an image I saw in the rock formation as I took reference photographs.  The more I looked at the rocks, the more images I saw that told a story.  There were warriors and maidens and fairies and endless faces with all kinds of expressions.

This particular area of landfall presented a mermaid sitting on rocks. Although the subject of this painting is The Naze and The Naze Tower, if the viewer looks carefully, they will hopefully see the mermaid I have place on the rocks where I saw her.
