Daisy – Giclee Print
My first pet portrait is Daisy, the Bassett Hound. She’s owned by my friend Michelle who asked me to paint her.
She looks so forlorn and sorrowful but please don’t be fooled, nothing has upset her. Bassets characteristically have a lot of loose skin on the face that wrinkles over the brow making them look sad. Daisy’s not! She’s a real character; very stubborn and determined to get her own way – and she succeeds. Thoroughly spoiled, she’s as happy as any dog can be. Don’t be fooled by the hang dog look, just adore her.
The original of course is with Daisy’s mum.
