This terrific tiger was completed under guidance at a workshop.  I did jump ahead of the game at times, and must therefore attribute much of the work to myself – particularly any shortcomings.  I love the velvet appearance of the ears.  There are elements of my common trait in this work – the ‘quick swipe’ treatment.  This happens often at the end of my art sessions – the paint ‘swipe’ of frustration because the painting is ‘not how it should be’.  It either makes or breaks the image. and has been the bane of my short artist’s life thus far:-). Fortunately for me, it worked this time!

The painting is pen and wash, using Winsor and Newton watercolour paints and the paper is Bockingford 200lb NOT.
